Saffery shortlisted across four categories at the 2026 Tolley’s Taxation Awards

We’re delighted to announce that several of our teams and colleagues have been shortlisted as finalists in the prestigious Tolley’s Taxation Awards 2026, recognising excellence and outstanding achievements across the UK tax profession:

Best Private Client Tax Practice,
Outstanding Client Service,
Taxation’s Rising Star – Chloe Thomas‑Hui, and
Tax Mentor of the Year – Clare Cromwell.

These nominations reflect Saffery’s dedication to tax technical excellence, high‑quality client service and the development of outstanding talent across the firm.

Saffery Transaction Services Executive shortlisted at the North West Young Professionals Awards 2026

We are delighted to announce that Millie Turner, Transaction Services Assistant Manager based in our Manchester office, has been shortlisted for Finance Professional of the Year at the North West Young Professionals Awards 2026.

These awards recognise exceptional rising talent aged 35 and under from across the region.

This recognition reflects Millie’s dedication, expertise and contribution to both clients and the wider Transaction Services team. We are proud to see her achievements acknowledged in such a prestigious regional awards programme.

The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 30 April at Emirates Old Trafford, Manchester, where winners from all categories will be revealed.

2026 Most Influential: Saffery leadership recognised for client-focused excellence

Managing Partner, Darren Drake, and Partner and Head of Private Wealth, Lizzie Murray, have been named in the eprivateclient 2026 Most Influential listing for their commitment to client excellence.

The annual listing recognises leading practitioners who are at the forefront of the profession in the UK. It highlights individuals who demonstrate exceptional technical expertise, innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest standard of advice and service to clients.

On being listed, Darren Drake commented:

“I’m honoured to be included in the 2026 Most Influential listing. This recognition reflects the collective commitment across the firm to deliver exceptional service, drive innovation and support clients with clarity and confidence in a rapidly evolving landscape.”

Darren took up the role of Managing Partner on 21 January 2026, having been elected in June 2025. He brings more than 25 years of industry experience, leadership across Saffery’s media sector offering, and a history of driving client focused innovation across the firm.

Lizzie Murray leads our Private Wealth Practice Group and is a partner within the firm’s UK Private Client team in London. Her work includes advising high net worth families on complex tax matters, generational planning, asset protection and navigating significant life or business events.

She plays a pivotal role in co-ordinating specialist advice across structures such as companies, trusts and partnerships, ensuring clients receive seamless, integrated solutions.

Lizzie Murray said:

Selection process

The individuals featured in the eprivateclient 2026 Most Influential listing are chosen by an independent panel of judges, who assess achievements over the past year, reputational standing and contributions to the profession.
